The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially announced the recruitment drive for 1,308 Veterinary Pharmacist positions across the state. The notification was released to fill the long-pending vacancies in the veterinary department, and the commission has opened the online application process for interested and eligible candidates.

The Veterinary Pharmacist role falls under the Uttar Pradesh Animal and Fisheries Sciences Department, which manages veterinary hospitals, drug stores, and pharmaceutical supply chains attached to livestock and dairy infrastructure throughout the state. These positions are critical to ensuring that animal health services continue to function without disruption due to staff shortages.

Candidates must hold a recognized degree or diploma in Pharmacy or Veterinary Pharmacy to be eligible. The commission has stated that applications will be submitted through the official UPSSSC portal, where applicants need to register, fill in personal and academic details, upload the required documents, and pay the applicable fee before the deadline.

While the detailed age limit and fee structure are yet to be fully enumerated in the preliminary notification, the commission typically follows standard criteria for such medical and para-medical recruitment drives in the state. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may also be entitled to relaxation in age and fees as per government norms.

The recruitment comes at a time when several veterinary and pharmaceutical posts in Uttar Pradesh have remained vacant for extended periods, affecting service delivery in rural and semi-urban areas where these pharmacists play a key role. Authorities hope that clearing these vacancies will strengthen the state's animal healthcare framework.

Candidates who wish to apply are advised to regularly check the UPSSSC website for further updates regarding the admit card, selection process, and result announcement.
