The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially declared the revised dates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025. The notification was published on the commission's official portal at upsssc.gov.in, confirming that the PET phase will now proceed across designated centers in various districts of the state.
The Home Guard recruitment was announced to fill vacant positions across the state's paramilitary auxiliary force. After candidates qualified through the computer-based written examination, their performance was scored and rank-wise merit lists were prepared. Those meeting the qualifying cutoff were then shortlisted for the PET stage, which tests physical fitness standards essential for Home Guard duties.
Under the PET guidelines, male candidates are required to complete a race of 1600 meters within 6 minutes and 30 seconds, while female candidates must cover 800 meters within 3 minutes and 45 seconds. These standards have been set in accordance with the Home Guard Act and rules framed by the state government. Candidates who fail to meet these physical benchmarks will be disqualified from the subsequent document verification and medical examination rounds.
The UPSSSC has advised all shortlisted candidates to report to their allotted examination centers along with their original identity documents, call letters, and necessary sports footwear. The commission has also instructed candidates to carry multiple photocopies of all required documents to avoid any last-minute hassles. A dress code has been specified, with candidates asked to wear appropriate sports attire during the test.
Medical fitness remains a critical component of the overall selection process. Following the PET, candidates will undergo a thorough medical examination to ensure they meet the health standards prescribed for Home Guard personnel. Only those who clear both the physical and medical evaluations will proceed to the final merit list preparation.
The UPSSSC has urged candidates to regularly check the official website for any further updates regarding center allocations, reporting times, and additional instructions. Any discrepancy in the admit card or reporting details should be brought to the commission's attention immediately through the grievance portal.
