The West Bengal Police (WBP) has announced the official exam date for the Constable Recruitment 2025 drive. The written examination is scheduled to be held on November 30, 2025. Candidates who applied for the 11,749 constable vacancies will appear for the test at designated exam centres across West Bengal.
The recruitment notification was earlier released by the State Government to fill positions in the regular police force. Eligible candidates had submitted their applications through the official WBP portal before the deadline. The selection process involves a written examination, physical efficiency test, document verification, and final medical examination.
The written exam will be conducted in offline mode — a pen-and-paper test. The question paper will include questions from general knowledge, current affairs, reasoning, mathematics, and the Bengali and English languages. The exam is expected to follow a standard multiple-choice format, with negative marking applied for incorrect answers as per previous WBP recruitment patterns.
As per the official notifications, candidates are advised to carry their admit cards, a valid photo identity proof, and pass-class photographs to the exam centre. Late entry into the examination hall may result in debarment, and candidates must report at least one hour before the scheduled timing. Each candidate will be allotted a specific shift and exam centre, details of which are available on the admit card.
A significant number of aspirants from rural and urban areas across West Bengal have registered for this recruitment drive, making it one of the largest police recruitment exercises in the state in recent years. The results of the written examination are expected to be declared within a few weeks after the conclusion of the test.
