The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has issued a major recruitment notification for the year 2025, announcing 5,018 vacant positions for Staff Nurses across healthcare institutions in the state. The recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening the state's public health infrastructure by filling critical staffing gaps in district hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres, and other government medical establishments throughout West Bengal. Eligibility requirements typically include a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) qualification or a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma from a recognised institution, along with registration with the West Bengal Nursing Council or an equivalent state nursing council. Some notifications may also accept candidates holding a BSc Nursing degree.
