The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has officially announced a major recruitment drive to fill 300 vacancies for the position of Driver under the State Health Department. The notification was released earlier this week, and the online application process is now open for qualified candidates across the state.

According to the official recruitment notification, the 300 driver posts are spread across multiple health institutions and medical establishments functioning under the West Bengal state health administration. Candidates who wish to apply must register themselves on the official website wbhrb.in and complete the entire application process through the online mode only. No offline or manual applications will be accepted for this recruitment cycle.

The eligibility criteria for this recruitment require candidates to have passed the minimum educational qualification prescribed by the board, along with a valid driving license appropriate for the vehicles assigned to health department duties. Age relaxation provisions applicable to reserved categories as per West Bengal government rules will also be extended to applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward classes.

The selection process for these driver positions is expected to involve a written examination or skill test followed by document verification, as per the standard WBHRB recruitment procedure. Shortlisted candidates will be called for further rounds based on their performance in the preliminary stages.

Officials have urged all aspiring candidates to carefully read the detailed notification before filling out the application form to ensure they meet every requirement. The board has also reminded applicants to keep all supporting documents — including educational certificates, identity proofs, category certificates where applicable, and driving license copies — ready before initiating the online application process.
