The West Bengal Health and Family Welfare Samiti (WBHFWS) has announced a recruitment drive for 17 counsellor positions under its health services framework. The notification, issued as part of ongoing efforts to bolster community-based health outreach in the state, invites eligible candidates to apply through the official online portal.
Counsellors under the WBHFWS typically serve as frontline officers responsible for providing guidance and support in areas such as family planning, maternal and child health, disease awareness, and mental health counselling within government health centres. These roles are critical to the state's primary healthcare delivery system, especially in rural and underserved urban localities where health workers bridge the gap between medical facilities and the communities they serve.
Candidates interested in applying were instructed to complete the registration process on the WBHFWS official website.
