Candidates who have cleared the preliminary and Mains stages of the competitive examination can now access their documents through the commission's official website at psc.wb.gov.in. Alongside the admit cards, the commission has also published the interview schedule that outlines the timeline and procedure for the final round of selection.
The WBCS examination is conducted annually by WBPSC to recruit candidates for various civil service positions in the state government of West Bengal. The selection process comprises three stages: the Preliminary examination, the Mains written exam, and the Personality Test or interview conducted by the commission itself. Only candidates who secure the required cutoff marks in both the objective Preliminary and the descriptive Mains papers are eligible to appear for the final interview stage.
Official sources indicate that the admit card contains crucial details including the candidate's name, roll number, examination centre allocation, reporting time, and important instructions that must be followed on the day of the interview. Candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with one valid identity proof such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport. The release of the admit card comes after a gap of several months following the declaration of Mains results, during which the commission undertook administrative procedures to finalize interview panels, allocate examination centres across various districts of West Bengal, and arrange security protocols for the event.
