New Delhi — The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), the apex regulatory body governing the Indian pension sector, has officially announced a major recruitment drive for the year 2026. The regulator is looking to fill over 100 positions of Assistant Manager Grade-A across various departments within its headquarters in Hyderabad and regional offices nationwide.

The recruitment notification was released on the PFRDA official website early this month, and the authority has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens who meet the prescribed educational qualifications and age criteria. Candidates from all states and union territories are encouraged to apply through the PFRDA Careers portal.

According to the official notification, the eligible educational qualification for the post of Assistant Manager Grade-A is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories — Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with benchmark disabilities — are eligible for a relaxable age limit as per government norms. The upper age limit for general category candidates stands at 32 years as on the date of notification, with relaxation applicable for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

The selection process will comprise three stages: a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted by PFRDA or its nominated agency, followed by a personal interview for candidates who qualify the written examination. The CBT syllabus covers General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English Language, with subject-specific questions for certain cadres depending on the department allocation.

The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is ₹1,000, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are exempted entirely. The last date to submit online applications is March 15, 2026. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for May 2026, with interviews likely to follow in July.

Successful candidates will be appointed at Pay Matrix Level 10 under the Seventh Central Pay Commission, with a starting basic pay ranging between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400 per month, along with standard government benefits including dearness allowance, housing allowance, and medical facilities.

PFRDA officials stated that the recruitment aims to strengthen the regulatory framework for pension products and welfare schemes in India, particularly the National Pension System (NPS) and Atal Pension Yojana, which cover millions of citizens across the country.
