The commission shortlisted 46,282 candidates who qualified for the subsequent typing proficiency test, which will determine final selection for 3,279 available positions across various government departments in Uttar Pradesh.
The written examination was conducted to fill the Junior Assistant posts under the direct recruitment quota. Candidates who appeared for the written test are now awaiting the typing test schedule, which serves as a filter to narrow down the pool before final merit list preparation. According to preliminary assessments, the cutoff marks for the General (UR) and Scheduled Caste (ST) categories have been found to be remarkably similar this cycle, a departure from the typical pattern where category-wise cutoffs differ significantly. The recruitment process began several months ago when UPSSSC announced the notification for 3,279 Junior Assistant positions. Applications were invited from eligible candidates holding the required educational qualifications, primarily graduation degrees along with specified computer proficiency credentials. The written examination was held at numerous centers across the state, accommodating the massive applicant pool.
