The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially opened the online registration process for its 2026 recruitment cycle targeting Agriculture Inspector and related posts. A total of 2,759 vacancies have been notified under the AGTA (Assistant Government Treasurer Agent) cadre, marking one of the largest agriculture-sector hiring drives in the state this year.
Candidates who meet the prescribed educational qualifications and age criteria can apply through the official UPSSSC portal at upsssc.gov.in. The registration process is entirely online, and aspirants are required to fill in personal details, upload necessary documents, and pay the applicable application fee before the deadline closes.
The AGTA posts fall under the agriculture department of the Uttar Pradesh government and involve duties related to revenue collection, land records maintenance, and agricultural administration at the grassroots level. These positions are considered highly sought after by graduates from agriculture and related disciplines across the state.
Eligibility for the recruitment requires candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field from a recognized university. The upper age limit is set at 40 years for general category candidates, with relaxation applicable to reserved categories as per government norms. Candidates are advised to carefully verify their eligibility before submitting the application form.
The selection process will likely include a written examination followed by document verification, though the commission has yet to release the detailed timeline for each stage. Previous AGTA recruitment cycles have seen over one lakh applications for a fraction of the available posts, underscoring the competitive nature of the examination.
UPSSSC has urged all aspiring candidates to complete their registrations well ahead of the last date to avoid last-minute technical glitches. The commission typically releases an official notification containing the complete exam schedule, syllabus, and important dates on its website shortly after the registration window opens.
