The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released a recruitment notification inviting applications for multiple positions under the Revenue Lekhpal cadre across the state. The advertisement, carried under reference number 02/Exam/2025, signals a significant hiring push aimed at strengthening the revenue administration machinery of Uttar Pradesh.
The Lekhpal post is one of the most important grassroots-level positions in the state's revenue department. Officials at this level are responsible for maintaining land records, preparing and updating khatauni documents, conducting field inspections, and assisting in revenue collection at the village and block levels. With thousands of such posts spread across Uttar Pradesh's numerous districts, the recruitment exercise is expected to draw lakhs of applicants from all corners of the state.
