The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has issued a fresh recruitment notification for the posts of Computer Operator and Programmer, with registration set to close shortly. The commission has identified over 6,400 vacancies across various departments of the state government under this recruitment drive, making it one of the largest digital recruitment exercises in the state's history.
Candidates aspiring for these positions are being urged to complete their online applications before the deadline, as no extension is expected. The recruitment process follows a merit-based selection method where candidates will be evaluated through a written examination followed by document verification. The commission has stressed that incomplete or incorrectly filled forms will be rejected outright.
The selected candidates will be posted in different districts of Uttar Pradesh, working across administrative offices, tehsils, and government departments that require IT support and digital record management. The pay scale offered for these positions falls under the state government's Level-3 and Level-4 pay bands, which translate to a monthly salary of approximately Rs 19,500 to Rs 1,05,000 including allowances, depending on the specific posting and experience.
Educational eligibility requires candidates to possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline along with proficiency in computer operations, data entry, and programming fundamentals. Candidates with a diploma or certification in computer applications and programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Tally are preferred but not mandatory. The upper age limit is generally 40 years for general category candidates, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
The UPPSC stated that the detailed advertisement, including the exam schedule and application fee structure, was published earlier this year on its official website. Interested candidates were directed to visit the commission's portal at uppsc.up.nic.in to download the notification and submit their applications. With the last date fast approaching, the commission has reminded applicants to double-check all entered details before final submission.
