The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced an opening for the post of Mines Officer, bringing the total number of vacancies to 32. The commission has invited online applications from eligible candidates across the country.
The notification was released recently, detailing the eligibility criteria, age limits, application fees, and the selection process for the post. Candidates who wish to apply must do so through the official UPPSC portal, as no offline mode of application is being accepted for this recruitment drive.
The minimum age requirement for the post stands at 21 years, while the upper age limit is set at 40 years as per the standard norms. Relaxations in the upper age limit are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and persons with disabilities, in accordance with state government rules.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized university or institution to be considered for the post. In addition to the academic qualification, applicants must also fulfill the physical and medical standards prescribed by the commission.
The selection process will be carried out through a written examination followed by a personal interview, as is standard for UPPSC direct recruitment notifications. Candidates are advised to carefully read the official notification before submitting their applications to avoid any discrepancies.
The last date to submit online applications has been fixed as June 25. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues that often occur on the final day of the application window.
