The Uttar Pradesh government has officially released the recruitment notification for the National Rural Road Management Scheme (NRRMS) 2025 cycle, announcing a massive hiring drive that will fill 11,335 vacant positions across multiple departments in the state. The application portal at nrrmsvacancy.in went live today, and candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
This recruitment drive is one of the largest state-level hiring exercises in recent years, spanning several sectors including rural development, infrastructure maintenance, administrative support, and technical roles. The posts are distributed across various districts of Uttar Pradesh, with significant representation from both urban and rural constituencies.
According to the official notification, candidates who have passed their graduation from a recognized university are eligible to apply for most of the positions. Some technical posts may require a diploma or ITI qualification, and specific roles may have age relaxation provisions for reserved categories as per government norms. The upper age limit for general category candidates stands at 42 years, with standard relaxations applicable for OBC, SC, ST, and other reserved categories.
The selection process will consist of a competitive written examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission or a designated recruiting authority. Shortlisted candidates will then face document verification and possibly a physical efficiency test for certain field-oriented roles. The final merit list will be prepared based on examination performance and category-wise reservations.
The Ministry of Rural Development has been pushing the NRRMS framework more aggressively across states, aiming to strengthen rural infrastructure and create sustainable employment opportunities in gram panchayat-level institutions. Uttar Pradesh, with its vast rural population and extensive road network, has been a priority state for such initiatives.
Candidates can visit the official website nrrmsvacancy.in to download the complete information brochure, view the detailed post-wise vacancy list, and submit their applications online. The application fee varies by category, with fee concessions for economically disadvantaged applicants.
