The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has officially released the hall tickets for the Group 1 preliminary examination scheduled for 2026. Aspirants who applied for this highly competitive recruitment drive can now access their admit cards through the commission's official portal at tnpsc.gov.in.

The preliminary test is set to be held on September 27, 2026. Candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with one original identity proof on the day of the examination. The TNPSC Group 1 exam is one of the most sought-after recruitment processes in the state, offering positions across various administrative and revenue departments in the Tamil Nadu government.

Previously, the commission had announced the examination schedule and invite candidates to appear for the test. The preliminary stage serves as the first screening round, followed by the main examination for shortlisted aspirants. This year, thousands of candidates across Tamil Nadu are expected to appear for the prelims, competing for limited vacancies announced by the state government.

The selection process for TNPSC Group 1 includes the preliminary examination, the main written exam, and a personality test or interview. Candidates who qualify the prelims move on to the next stage. The exam tests candidates on subjects including general studies, aptitude, and current affairs relevant to Tamil Nadu and the country at large.

Authorities have also shared exam centre details on the hall tickets, with testing centres located across major cities and districts in Tamil Nadu. Candidates should verify their assigned centre and reach the venue well in advance on the day of the exam. Any discrepancies regarding exam centres or personal details can be addressed through the commission's helpline.
