MACAO — The Parisian Macao is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 13, 2026, marking a decade of operation as one of the special administrative region's most recognizable hospitality and entertainment landmarks.
Owned by Sands China Ltd., the resort first opened its doors in 2016, rising along the Cotai Strip as a striking homage to the city of lights. Its architecture, inspired by famous Parisian monuments including a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower, quickly became a defining feature of Macao's transformed skyline.
Over the past ten years, the property has undergone continuous renovations and expansions, particularly focused on broadening its non-gaming offerings. Sands China has consistently emphasized that diversifying beyond traditional casino operations has been central to its strategy — a move aligned with Macao's broader government push to reduce the territory's historical reliance on gaming revenue and build a more balanced tourism economy.
Today, The Parisian Macao hosts a wide range of facilities including luxury retail outlets, international dining options, convention and exhibition spaces, and family-friendly entertainment zones. The resort also operates The Shoppes at Parisian, one of the largest shopping malls in Macao, and has partnered with several global luxury brands to position itself as a premium destination.
Industry analysts note that the past decade has seen significant changes in Macao's tourism landscape, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, shifting visitor demographics from mainland China, and increased competition from neighboring gaming hubs. Despite these challenges, The Parisian Macao has maintained steady footfall, drawing both leisure travelers and business event attendees.
Sands China has signaled that it will continue investing in the property, with plans for further enhancements to non-gaming experiences expected in the coming years. The company has stated that its anniversary celebrations will include special promotions and events designed to reward loyal guests and introduce new visitors to the updated resort.
