Candidates who possess the requisite nursing qualifications are being urged to submit their applications immediately, as the deadline falls today.
The recruitment covers nursing positions across municipal bodies and rural block health systems throughout the state. These roles are critical to strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery in both urban local bodies and rural communities where nursing staff shortages have been a persistent concern.
Eligibility criteria require candidates to hold a recognized nursing qualification — typically a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma or a Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) degree from a council-recognized institution. Candidates must also be registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council to qualify for appointment.
The selection process is expected to be based on merit derived from a written examination or a merit list prepared from qualifying examination scores, followed by document verification. Vacancies will be allocated across various districts in the state depending on the requirements of individual municipal corporations and panchayat union health centers.
Senior citizens and candidates belonging to reserved categories may be eligible for age relaxations as per government norms. The application fee structure follows the standard Tamil Nadu government recruitment fee schedule, with fee waivers applicable for SC, ST, and other eligible categories.
