The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has officially opened the online registration process for Group D vacancies in 2025, with over 50,000 positions expected to be filled across various departments of the state government. The announcement has sent waves of enthusiasm among job seekers across Rajasthan, as Group D posts represent one of the most accessible entry points into state government employment.
The recruitment notification, released by the RSMSSB, indicates that the selection will be conducted through a written examination followed by document verification. Candidates belonging to all categories — General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS — are eligible to apply, subject to meeting the prescribed age and educational qualifications. The minimum educational requirement for most Group D positions is passing Class 10th or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Officials stated that the large number of vacancies is due to a combination of fresh recruitment needs and the filling of pending posts that have remained vacant for several years. Many previous recruitment cycles were delayed because of legal challenges and pandemic-related disruptions, leaving a significant number of sanctioned positions unfilled.
The online application portal is expected to remain open for approximately two to three weeks. Candidates are advised to register early, as technical glitches and server overload have been common during previous recruitment drives when deadlines approached. Application fees vary by category, with reserved-category candidates enjoying concession as per government norms.
RSMSSB Group D posts include roles such as depot assistant, clerk-cum-typist, helper, lab assistant, and various ministerial staff positions across departments including health, education, revenue, and local self-government. The starting salary for these positions typically falls within the pay matrix of Level 1 of the Rajasthan State Pay Commission, which works out to a monthly basic pay of approximately Rs 19,900, along with applicable allowances.
Candidates who have applied for earlier RSMSSB drives without securing selection can now submit fresh applications for this recruitment cycle as well, provided they meet the current eligibility criteria.
