The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) on Wednesday officially released the notification for recruitment to 10,644 vacant posts of Lower Division Clerk across multiple government departments in the state. The recruitment drive marks one of the largest clerical-level hiring exercises by the board in recent years and is expected to draw widespread interest from job aspirants throughout Rajasthan and beyond.
According to the notification, the online application window will open on January 15, 2026. Candidates wishing to apply must register through the official RSSB portal at rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. While the exact closing date has not been confirmed in the initial release, the board typically allows two to four weeks for application submission before the window shuts.
Lower Division Clerk is a Group C non-technical position under the Rajasthan state government service structure. These roles involve routine clerical work including data entry, file management, record keeping, correspondence handling, and assisting senior officials in day-to-day administrative tasks. The posts are distributed across various state government departments, though a department-wise breakup was yet to be fully detailed in the preliminary notification.
The prescribed educational qualification for the post is a bachelor's degree from a recognized university along with proficiency in Computer Operations, as typically mandated for LDC recruitment in Rajasthan. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates falling under reserved categories as per state government norms.
Candidates who clear the written examination will proceed to the document verification stage, after which merit-based final selection lists will be prepared. The RSSB has historically conducted these examinations in multiple phases across different cities in the state.
This recruitment drive follows a similar large-scale notification pattern seen in previous years when the board consolidated vacancies across departments into a single application cycle to streamline the hiring process and reduce administrative burden on both applicants and the selection body.
