The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has announced the release of admit cards for the Jail Warder recruitment examination for 2026. Candidates who successfully submitted their applications for the Jail Warder posts across Punjab's prison and correctional facilities can now access and download their hall tickets from the official portal at sssb.punjab.gov.in.
The admit card serves as the mandatory entry pass for the written examination. Without a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid identity proof, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination centre. The board has urged all aspirants to download the admit card well in advance and verify all details — including the candidate's name, examination centre allocation, date, and shift — before the exam day.
The Jail Warder position is one of the most sought-after group C recruitment drives conducted by PSSSB each year. Thousands of candidates across Punjab apply for these posts, which offer a structured career within the state's correctional and prison administration. The selection process typically involves a written examination followed by document verification and a physical efficiency test, depending on the notification criteria.
PSSSB, headquartered in Chandigarh, is the nodal agency responsible for recruiting staff across various departments of the Punjab government. In addition to the Jail Warder admit card, the board has also released the admit card for the Veterinary Inspector examination, indicating that multiple recruitment cycles are underway simultaneously this year.
Candidates are advised to keep a soft copy of the admit card saved on their devices as a backup. Any discrepancy in personal details or examination centre information must be reported to the board immediately through the official grievance channel mentioned on the website.
