The Odisha state government has launched one of its largest recruitment drives in recent years, announcing over 23,757 job openings across multiple departments and agencies. What makes this notification particularly significant is that a substantial number of these positions are open exclusively to candidates who have passed the 10th standard, commonly known as SSD or Matriculation in India's education system.
The recruitment drive covers a wide range of posts, including clerical positions, constable roles, assistant-level appointments, and various support staff positions across state government departments. While complete details of every post have been released through official notifications, government sources indicate that positions span revenue departments, health services, local self-governance bodies, transport corporations, and various urban local administrations throughout Odisha.
Candidates with a 10th pass qualification will find opportunities in categories such as data entry operators, peons, attendants, helpers, and several group C and D positions that do not require higher educational qualifications. The age limit for most of these positions ranges between 18 and 40 years, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
The selection process is expected to include written examinations, physical efficiency tests for certain posts, document verification, and medical examinations, depending on the nature of the position.
