The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a Maharatna enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, has officially announced its recruitment drive for 2025, offering 197 trainee positions to eligible candidates across the country. The notification was released recently, and the online application window will remain open until June 17, 2025.
The trainee posts are spread across various engineering and technical disciplines required to support NPCIL's fleet of operational nuclear power plants as well as its ongoing projects. Candidates with relevant educational qualifications in engineering and technology streams are the primary targets for this recruitment. The corporation has been consistently expanding its workforce to man new reactor units being commissioned at sites across India, making this one of the most significant recruitment drives by a public sector enterprise in the nuclear sector this year.
Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications exclusively through the official NPCIL careers portal. The process involves filling out the online form, uploading necessary documents, and paying the prescribed application fee, which varies depending on the candidate's category. General and OBC candidates are typically required to pay a higher fee compared to SC, ST, and PwBD applicants, who often enjoy fee concessions or complete waivers as per government guidelines.
Selection for these trainee positions is expected to be carried out through a multi-stage process that typically includes a written examination conducted by NPCIL, followed by a personal interview and medical fitness assessment.
