Madhya Pradesh's National Health Mission (NHM) has officially released its recruitment notification for 1,200 Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) positions, marking one of the largest healthcare recruitment drives in the state this year. The announcement has generated significant interest among nursing professionals and diploma holders across Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring states.

According to the notified recruitment document, candidates interested in applying must register through the official NHM Madhya Pradesh portal. The online application process requires aspirants to fill out a detailed form, upload scanned copies of essential documents including educational certificates, identity proof, and photographs, and pay the prescribed application fee. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may be eligible for fee concessions as per government norms.

The eligibility criteria mandate that applicants hold a recognized Diploma in Nursing Midwifery or an equivalent qualification from a nursing council-approved institution. Age relaxation provisions have been extended for candidates from scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and other backward class categories in line with Madhya Pradesh state government rules.

The selected candidates will be appointed under the contractual basis of NHM and will receive a monthly salary as per the state's pay scale for ANM positions. The recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening primary healthcare delivery in rural and semi-urban areas of Madhya Pradesh, where there has been a persistent shortage of trained nursing staff at community health centres and primary health centres.

Health officials stated that the recruitment will help bridge critical staffing gaps across districts that have faced long-standing vacancies in auxiliary nursing positions. District Medical Officers have been instructed to coordinate with block-level health authorities to ensure smooth processing of applications and timely selection. The complete notification, including district-wise vacancy distribution, can be accessed on the NHM Madhya Pradesh official website.
