The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has officially opened applications for a large-scale recruitment drive tied to its Namo Bharat Rapid Rail project, one of India's most ambitious mass transit initiatives. The corporation, which is responsible for developing high-speed rail corridors across the National Capital Region, announced over 3,800 vacancies spanning technical, operational, and administrative roles.
Applicants can expect a monthly salary package of up to ₹1.15 lakh depending on the position and level of responsibility. The selection will take place in two distinct stages — first, a computer-based written examination designed to assess candidates' technical aptitude and domain knowledge, followed by a thorough document verification round for those who clear the screening test.
The NCRTC was established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to plan, coordinate, and implement rapid rail transit systems in the National Capital Region and adjoining areas. Its flagship Namo Bharat service, also known as the Dedicated Rapid Rail Corridor (DRRC), is being developed with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and is designed to connect key cities like Delhi, Meerut, and Ghaziabad at speeds of up to 180 km per hour.
Human resources experts note that this recruitment represents one of the largest single hiring exercises by an urban transport agency in recent years. Candidates with engineering backgrounds, particularly in civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, are expected to find the most opportunities. The recruitment drive comes at a time when several public sector organizations including the Railway Recruitment Board, State Bank of India, and Madhya Pradesh Police have also released their own vacancy notifications for 2026.
Interested candidates are advised to visit the official NCRTC careers portal and apply before the deadline. Documents such as educational certificates, identity proofs, and experience letters must be kept ready for the verification stage.
