Multiple State Governments Announce Major Recruitment Drives for 2026; Thousands of Teaching and Auxiliary Posts Open

Recruitment drives across three Indian states — Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka — have been set in motion for 2026, offering employment opportunities to thousands of candidates seeking government positions in education and rural development sectors.

In Uttar Pradesh, the state government has announced a fresh round of recruitment for Anganwadi workers and helpers. The notification is expected to detail district-wise allocation of posts, online application dates, and eligibility criteria. Anganwadi centres operate under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme and play a crucial role in early childhood care, nutrition, and health services across rural and semi-urban areas of the state.

Madhya Pradesh, meanwhile, has opened registration for over 2,000 Anganwadi positions. The Madhya Pradesh State Level Recruitment Authority is managing the process, and candidates can apply online through the official portal. The recruitment aims to strengthen the delivery of anganwadi services across districts that have reported staffing shortages in recent years.

In Karnataka, two separate notifications have been issued by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The first covers the Karnataka Rural Education & Integrated Services (KREIS) programme, which invites applications for 1,087 teacher positions. These teaching posts are primarily aimed at filling vacancies in rural schools where teacher shortages have long been a concern. The second KEA notification addresses recruitment for Village Administrative Officers (VAOs), with 572 posts announced. VAOs serve as key functionaries at the village level, handling revenue records, land-related documentation, and local administrative coordination.

Candidates interested in any of these recruitments are advised to visit the respective state government portals for complete details on age limits, educational qualifications, application fees, and important dates. With all three states processing applications independently, candidates belonging to multiple states may appear for more than one drive depending on their eligibility and domicile status.
