The Indian competitive examination landscape saw a significant uptick this week as multiple recruiting bodies released admit cards for major 2026 exams, sending thousands of aspirants scrambling to download their hall tickets. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was among the first to notify candidates, declaring that the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D admit cards for 2026 are now available for download on the official portal at ssc.gov.in. Candidates can retrieve their cards by entering their application number or roll number along with their date of birth.
In a closely timed development, the Uttar Pradesh State Educational Service Examination Council (UP ESSC) also released admit cards for two separate exams — the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 and the UP Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment exam. Both admit cards are available on upessc.up.gov.in, with candidates instructed to cross-check their assigned exam centre details carefully before travelling.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) made the Assistant Prosecuting Officer (APO) preliminary exam admit cards available at bpsc.bihar.gov.in. Aspirants shortlisted for the post must present their printed admit card along with a valid photo identity proof at the exam venue. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) simultaneously released the admit cards for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandant recruitment exam 2026, downloadable from upsc.gov.in.
Officials emphasise that candidates should print at least two copies of their admit card, carry one original government-issued photo ID, and arrive at the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time. Any discrepancy in name, father's name, or photograph on the admit card must be reported to the respective commission immediately via their helpline or email.
