Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Police has declared the Phase 1 results of its Constable Recruitment Examination 2026, clearing the way for over 59,000 candidates to move forward in the selection process. The announcement came from the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), which conducts the recruitment exams on behalf of the state police department.
According to the official result notification, a total of 59,438 candidates have qualified from Phase 1 of the written examination. These candidates will now be eligible to appear for Phase 2, which typically includes the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measure Test conducted by the state police authorities.
The Constable recruitment drive is one of the largest police hiring exercises in the state, attracting lakhs of applicants from across Madhya Pradesh and other states. Candidates who appeared for the exam belong to various categories including General, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Economically Weaker Sections, each having separate merit lists as per government reservation policy.
The Phase 1 written examination was conducted at numerous centers across the state in recent months. Candidates can check their results on the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board by entering their roll number or application details. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in all phases of the selection process, including the physical tests and document verification stages that follow.
Police officials stated that the complete selection cycle, including subsequent phases and final appointment, is expected to take several more months. Candidates who qualify in Phase 1 are advised to prepare thoroughly for the physical efficiency tests, which include running, long jump, and high jump events, as these carry significant weight in the overall merit calculation.
