The recruitment covers a wide range of positions including Assistant Secretary, Deputy Collector, Range Officer, Tehsildar, Sub-Inspector, and other group B and group C services under the Maharashtra state government. Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for most of these posts. For certain specialized positions, additional qualification requirements such as proficiency in Marathi language or relevant professional experience may apply. The age limit generally ranges between 21 and 40 years, with appropriate relaxations reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward classes as per Maharashtra state government norms.
The selection process for these positions will be conducted through the MPSC Combined State Preliminary Examination, followed by the main written examination and a personal interview. Thousands of aspirants across Maharashtra prepare extensively for this competitive exam every year, as it is considered one of the most prestigious pathways to a career in the state administrative services.
The application fee varies depending on the candidate category. General category candidates are required to pay a higher fee, while reserved category applicants enjoy a concession.
