This pay band structure follows the standard government employee matrix but is complemented by several additional emoluments specific to police service.
Dearness Allowance (DA), which constitutes a significant component of the monthly income, has been revised periodically based on inflation figures. As of 2026, the DA rate stands at approximately 50 percent of basic pay, substantially increasing the actual monthly earnings beyond the base salary figure.
