The Maharashtra Forest Department has announced the release of admit cards for the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination 2023, notifying all eligible candidates to download their hall tickets at the earliest from the official portal.
The admit card, also referred to as the hall ticket, is a mandatory document that candidates must present at the examination centre on the day of the test. Without it, no candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall under any circumstances.
According to the notification, the selection process for the post of Forest Guard includes a written examination followed by a physical efficiency test and medical examination. The written exam tests candidates on subjects including General Knowledge, Marathi language, Reasoning, and Mathematics, reflecting the standard competitive examination pattern used by the state government for such posts.
Candidates can download their admit cards by visiting the official Maharashtra Forest Department website at mahaforest.gov.in. The portal provides a dedicated section for admit card downloads where applicants need to enter their registration number, date of birth, or application ID to access and print their hall ticket.
Authorities have advised candidates to carefully verify all details printed on the admit card, including their name, father's name, examination centre allocation, date, and timing. Any discrepancies found should be reported to the department immediately through the helpline or grievance cell mentioned on the website.
The examination conduct authorities have reiterated that candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with one valid original identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or PAN card, to the examination venue. Photocopies or expired identity documents will not be accepted.
Several thousand candidates across Maharashtra had appeared in the online application window for the Forest Guard positions, with the recruitment aimed at filling vacancies across various forest circles in the state. The department has been working toward completing the selection process within the stipulated timeline to ensure timely appointments.
