The Madhya Pradesh state government has announced an extension of the deadline for teacher registration under its 2025 recruitment drive. The revised last date gives candidates additional time to submit their applications for a total of 10,758 teaching positions advertised across various districts of the state.
The registration process had been ongoing since earlier this year as part of a large-scale effort to fill teaching vacancies in schools under the state education department. Officials stated that the extension was made to ensure that eligible candidates who missed the original deadline or faced technical difficulties during the application process get a fair opportunity to apply.
The teaching positions span multiple categories including primary school teachers, high school teachers, and senior secondary educators. Candidates are required to meet the prescribed educational qualifications, which typically include a Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent along with passing the relevant eligibility tests conducted by state and national agencies.
The recruitment exercise is being managed by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, which handles the selection process including online application collection, verification of documents, written examinations, and merit list preparation.
This recruitment drive is considered one of the largest teacher hiring exercises in recent years for the state. The government has emphasized that qualified and dedicated educators are essential for improving learning outcomes in schools across rural and urban areas alike.
Candidates who have already submitted their applications do not need to reapply, but those who had not registered before the previous deadline can now do so within the extended timeframe. Official notifications regarding the exact revised date and any additional instructions have been released on the state's official recruitment portal.
The government has urged candidates to complete their registrations at the earliest and to ensure that all required documents and photographs are uploaded correctly to avoid any last-minute issues during verification.
