The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), operating under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh government, has officially released the recruitment notification for the post of Police Constable. A total of 7,500 vacancies have been announced for various districts across the state, marking one of the largest single recruitment drives by the MP Police in recent years.
The online application process will commence on September 22, 2025. Aspirants are advised to visit the official portal at mppeb.vbse.com to submit their applications. The board has not yet disclosed the last date for submission, but candidates are expected to file their forms within a window of approximately two to three weeks from the release date.
Eligibility criteria require candidates to be Indian nationals, at least 18 years old, and not older than the upper age limit prescribed for their category. Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Physical standards, including height and chest measurements for male candidates and stamina tests, will also be evaluated as per the prescribed norms.
The selection process is expected to follow the standard MP Police recruitment pattern: a written examination conducted by MPPEB, followed by a physical efficiency test (PET), physical measurement test (PMT), and finally, document verification. Candidates who qualify each stage will proceed to the next level.
The Madhya Pradesh government has consistently emphasized strengthening law enforcement infrastructure, and this massive recruitment drive is seen as a significant step toward improving police strength across rural and urban areas of the state. With over 72 million residents, MP requires substantial police personnel to maintain public order and respond to growing security demands.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories — including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and economically weaker sections — are eligible for age relaxation and reservation benefits as per state government norms. Application fees vary by category, with general category candidates paying a higher fee compared to reserved-category aspirants.
Important documents such as educational certificates, caste certificates, domicile certificates, and identity proofs will need to be uploaded during the application process. Candidates are urged to keep scanned copies ready in the specified format and size to avoid last-minute complications.
