The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has officially announced a fresh round of recruitment for 526 vacant positions of Stenographer and Typist under different state government departments. The notification marks one of the largest ongoing recruitment drives for Group C and Group D level posts in the state this year, offering significant employment opportunities to thousands of job seekers across Karnataka.

According to the KPSC notification, the recruitment encompasses Stenographer posts as well as Typist positions spread across multiple departments within the Karnataka state administration. The vacancies are part of the regular recruitment cycle conducted by the commission through its standard merit-based selection process.

Candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognized university are eligible to apply for these positions. Additionally, applicants must possess proficiency in typing and stenography in Kannada and/or English, as specified for each post. The age limit criteria and relaxations applicable to reserved categories follow the Karnataka state government's standard recruitment rules.

The KPSC has invited applications through its official website, with candidates required to complete the entire online registration process before the stipulated deadline. Interested individuals can submit their applications electronically by uploading the necessary documents and paying the prescribed application fee, which varies depending on the candidate's category.

Once the application window closes, KPSC will release a call letter or admit card for the subsequent stages of the selection process. The recruitment is expected to involve a combination of computer-based written examinations and skill tests for stenography and typing, followed by document verification. Candidates are advised to keep track of the official KPSC website for updates regarding exam dates, result declarations, and further procedural details.

This recruitment drive comes at a time when several Karnataka government departments are working to fill accumulated vacancies and strengthen their administrative support staff. The commission has urged all eligible candidates to apply before the last date and cautioned against waiting until the final days to avoid last-minute technical issues with the online portal.
