The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has announced an extension of the online application deadline for the recruitment of 750 Land Surveyors across various departments in the state. The revised last date to submit applications is now August 20, 2026, giving eligible candidates additional time to apply through the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The Land Surveyor posts were initially advertised earlier this year as part of the state government's ongoing effort to fill long-pending vacancies in survey and land records departments. These positions are crucial for maintaining accurate land records, supporting revenue administration, and carrying out survey operations that underpin property registration and land management across Karnataka.
Candidates who wish to apply must register online through the CET cell's official website. The recruitment notification detailed eligibility criteria including educational qualifications, age limits, and reservation categories as per Karnataka state government rules. Candidates from scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes, economically weaker sections, and other reserved categories are entitled to applicable relaxations in age and fees as per existing norms.
The extension of the application deadline comes after many prospective applicants sought additional time, citing difficulties in gathering required documents and completing the online form process. The CET cell has stated that candidates can use the extended period to correct any errors in their submitted applications before the final deadline.
Once the application window closes, the selection process is expected to proceed with a written examination followed by document verification, as per the standard CET recruitment procedure. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding admit cards, exam schedules, and result announcements.
