The Jharkhand government has launched a comprehensive recruitment drive for 2026, with numerous government departments announcing thousands of vacant positions across the state. The campaign covers sectors including education, law enforcement, healthcare, and civil administration, marking one of the largest hiring exercises in recent years for the eastern Indian state.
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) are the two primary bodies responsible for conducting examinations and managing the selection processes for state-level posts. These organisations have begun issuing detailed notifications outlining the number of vacancies, eligibility requirements, examination schedules, and reservation policies for each category of recruitment.
In the education sector, the state has announced openings for primary and secondary school teachers across various subjects and districts. The move is expected to strengthen teacher availability in rural and semi-urban areas where shortages have long persisted. Applicants must hold the requisite teaching qualifications and clear a competitive examination followed by document verification.
The home department has also released notifications for constable and subordinate police officer positions, aiming to bolster the state's law enforcement cadre. Health department recruitment efforts target auxiliary nursing staff, pharmacists, and medical officers for government hospitals and primary health centres throughout Jharkhand.
