The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has kicked off its 2026 recruitment cycle, inviting applications for a range of positions spanning technical, operational, and support roles across its various centres in Bengaluru, Sriharikota, Thiruvananthapuram, and other locations. The recruitment drive covers roles from skilled technicians to fire safety personnel, marking one of the most diverse hiring pushes by the space agency in recent years.
Candidates can apply for positions such as Technician 'D', Operator-cum-Monitor, Store Keeper, Junior Assistant, and Fireman, among others. The recruitment is being conducted under the ISRO Centralised Recruitment (ICR) programme, which consolidates hiring across multiple centres under a single application window.
Eligibility criteria vary by post, with most technical roles requiring a minimum of an ITI certificate or a diploma in a relevant engineering discipline. Certain posts mandate specific trade experience, while safety-related roles like Fireman require physical fitness standards in addition to educational qualifications. Age relaxations are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
Applications are being accepted entirely through ISRO's official online portal. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their educational certificates, identity proof, and category certificates if applicable. The selection process will typically involve a written test or skill-based assessment followed by a medical examination and document verification, depending on the nature of the post.
ISRO officials have indicated that the recruitments align with ongoing mission preparations, including upcoming satellite launches, crewed spaceflight infrastructure development, and expansion of ground support operations at existing and new centres.
The organisation has urged aspirants to apply well before the deadline, noting that late submissions are not entertained under any circumstances.
