The Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications has released a fresh recruitment notification inviting applications for over 4,200 vacant positions across various levels of the postal organization. The drive covers multiple categories of posts, making it one of the largest recruitment exercises by India Post in recent years.
Candidates with only a 10th-grade qualification from a recognized board will be eligible for certain positions, most notably the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts posted at various post offices across the country. For higher posts such as Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant, candidates typically need to have passed graduation along with proficiency in computer operations. The recruitment notice has also specified age limits, which generally range from 18 to 30 years for most posts, with relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
The selection process for Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant posts traditionally involves a Computer Based Test followed by a descriptive paper and document verification. Candidates appearing for the exam are tested on subjects including general intelligence, numerical ability, English language, Hindi language, and general awareness. For the MTS category, the selection is usually based on a written test and/or skill test depending on the specific requirements of the post.

Interested candidates are advised to visit the website and complete their registration before the last date mentioned in the official notification.
