Post Office staff car driver vacancies have once again caught the attention of thousands of young jobseekers across India who hold at least a 10th-standard qualification. India Post issued an official recruitment notification this month detailing 575 vacant posts for the role of Staff Car Driver, inviting online applications from eligible candidates.
The recruitment drive is aimed at filling positions across multiple postal circles throughout the country. The Staff Car Driver role involves operating vehicles assigned to postal officials and departments on duty. Candidates will be posted in various regions depending on their merit ranking and the availability of vacancies in each circle.
According to the official notification, the minimum educational qualification required is the passing of the 10th standard from a recognized board. Applicants must also possess a valid driving licence with an appropriate category that permits them to drive light motor vehicles. This is a critical requirement, and candidates without a valid licence at the time of application may be deemed ineligible.
The selection process will include a written examination followed by a skill test where candidates will be asked to demonstrate their driving proficiency. Physical fitness standards also form part of the eligibility criteria, in line with standard government recruitment norms.
The application window opens immediately and remains open until March 31, 2023. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official India Post website at indianpost.gov.in to complete the online application form and upload the necessary documents before the deadline expires. Late submissions will not be entertained under any circumstances.
The recruitment is being conducted under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, and successful candidates will be offered government employment with pay as per the applicable pay matrix for Group C posts.
