The Gujarat High Court has initiated a major recruitment drive for the post of Peon, announcing a total of 1,499 vacancies across its various jurisdictional courts throughout the state. The notification was released by the registry of the Gujarat High Court in Ahmedabad, inviting online applications from interested and eligible candidates.
The recruitment is aimed at filling essential support staff positions that are crucial for the smooth functioning of court operations. Peons play a vital role in maintaining the daily administrative workflow of courts, handling document delivery, assisting court staff, and managing various logistical tasks within judicial premises.
Candidates applying for these positions must possess a minimum of a 10th standard pass certificate from a recognized board or institution. The age limit for applicants has been set as per the state government's standard criteria for such recruitments, with relaxations available for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Gujarat government norms.
The selection process will be conducted through a written examination followed by a document verification stage. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for verification of their educational qualifications, age certificates, and other relevant documents. Shortlisting and final appointment will be based on merit as determined through these stages.
The application portal was opened for a specified duration, allowing candidates to submit their applications online through the official website of the Gujarat High Court. Applicants were required to fill in personal details, upload necessary documents including photographs and signatures, and pay the prescribed application fee. Candidates from economically weaker sections and reserved categories were eligible for fee concessions as per government guidelines.
This large-scale recruitment is seen as a significant step toward strengthening the administrative infrastructure of the Gujarat High Court and its subordinate courts.
