Candidates competing for some of India's most sought-after government jobs have received a significant boost as four major examining bodies simultaneously released admit cards for their respective examinations in 2026. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPSC), the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) have all made their hall tickets available on official websites, clearing the path for aspirants to proceed with the final stages of their exam preparation.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 admit cards were released on the commission's official portal at upsc.gov.in on July 9. These cards will be required by candidates appearing for the prestigious screening test that serves as the first hurdle in the long journey toward the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and other central group A and B positions. Aspirants who cleared the preliminary application and fee payment stage can now log in using their registration number and date of birth to download and print their admit cards.

Simultaneously, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission released the admit cards for its Group B Recruitment Examination 2026. The notification had been issued in late June and covers ten separate vacancies across various departments in the state. Candidates must visit mpsc.gov.in to retrieve their hall tickets, which contain crucial details including the examination centre allocation, reporting time, and the specific post they have been registered for.

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission also released its HCS Mains admit cards through hpsc.gov.in. The HCS Mains examination is the second phase of the state civil services selection process, following the preliminary test conducted earlier in the year. In a related development, HPSC had also announced the final result of its HCS Mains examination on July 4, and candidates were reminded to keep the maximum age limit of 50 years in mind when applying.

Lastly, the Staff Selection Commission confirmed the release of admit cards for the Grid Constable (GD) examination held on May 18. The multi-phase recruitment exam was conducted across various examination centres throughout the country, with candidates required to carry their printed hall tickets along with valid photo identification for entry.

Education experts note that this coincidental overlap of multiple admit card releases makes it essential for candidates to double-check all relevant dates, reporting times, and required documents before appearing for any examination.
