The Food Corporation of India (FCI), one of the country's largest public sector undertakings under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has announced a fresh recruitment drive filling 217 permanent watchman vacancies spread across multiple depots in Madhya Pradesh. The watchman posts are part of the support staff category within FCI's organizational structure. These positions are critical for ensuring the security of godowns, grain storage facilities, and administrative buildings that form part of FCI's extensive distribution network across the state. Madhya Pradesh is one of the key agricultural states where FCI maintains a significant presence due to its large-scale procurement and storage operations of food grains.
Eligibility criteria for the post require candidates to have passed at least the 10th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Age relaxation provisions applicable to different categories as per government norms will apply. Candidates must be Indian nationals and physically fit as per the prescribed standards for the position.
The selection process is expected to include a written test or skill-based assessment followed by document verification.
