The legal action comes in the wake of comments made by Aaditya Thackeray regarding the Central Bureau of Investigation's fresh probe into the death of Disha Salian, a 29-year-old celebrity manager who died in June 2024 under circumstances that have remained a subject of intense public and legal scrutiny. During a recent public address, Aaditya Thackeray had suggested that his name appearing in connection with the CBI investigation was part of a politically motivated effort rather than based on evidentiary grounds.
Disha Salian's body was discovered at a luxury hotel apartment in Mumbai's Bandra area. She had been working as a manager for a talent agency and was known in entertainment industry circles. Her death triggered widespread discussion across Maharashtra and beyond, with her family repeatedly calling for transparency in the investigation process.
