The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has officially announced a recruitment drive for the post of bus drivers, opening fresh employment opportunities for eligible candidates across Delhi and surrounding regions. The corporation, which operates one of the largest state-owned bus fleets in India, issued the notification through its official recruitment channel, inviting applications from qualified individuals who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
The recruitment process is expected to include a written examination or skill-based test followed by document verification, in line with standard government hiring practices for transport services. Candidates are required to possess a valid Commercial Driving License (CDL) with a light motor vehicle endorsement, along with relevant driving experience. Age limits and educational qualifications as per DTC norms will apply.
This hiring drive comes at a time when the DTC is working to bolster its workforce to meet growing passenger demand in the capital. With over 6,500 buses plying daily across hundreds of routes, the corporation requires a steady pipeline of trained and licensed drivers to maintain service reliability and expand network coverage.
Officials stated that the complete application timeline, selection procedure details, and vacancy numbers will be shared on the DTC's official website in due course. Interested applicants are advised to regularly check the portal for updates and submit their forms before the deadline.
The recruitment notification is anticipated to generate significant interest among job seekers, particularly those holding commercial driving credentials and seeking stable government employment in the transport sector.
