The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has initiated the recruitment process for 100 Junior Engineer (JE) positions across its various circles in the national capital. The recruitment drive is being conducted through National Informatics Centre Infrastructure Company (NITCON), which acts as the implementing agency for technical hiring under the board.
Online applications for the posts are being accepted through the official NITCON career portal at nitcon.org. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can register themselves by providing the required academic and personal details. The last date for submitting online applications is July 15, 2026. Aspirants are advised to complete their registrations before the deadline, as no extension is expected.
To be eligible for the Junior Engineer position, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical branches from a recognised university or institution. A minimum of 50 per cent marks or an equivalent grade is typically required, though relaxed criteria apply for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
The selection process is expected to include a written examination followed by document verification and possibly an interview, depending on the final notification guidelines. Successful candidates will be appointed at Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix, with a starting basic salary of Rs 35,400 per month. Various allowances applicable to Delhi-based government employees will also be provided.
The Delhi Jal Board, established under the Delhi Water Supply and Sewerage Disposal Act of 1998, is the primary authority responsible for water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems across the national capital. This latest recruitment drive aims to strengthen the technical workforce available for the board's infrastructure projects and everyday operations.
Candidates who have already submitted their applications earlier may log in to check their status on the NITCON portal. Any candidate facing technical difficulties during the application process is encouraged to contact the NITCON helpline or visit the nearest help centre listed on the website.
