The Indian government job market saw renewed momentum on Thursday, January 15, as multiple recruitment agencies issued fresh notifications spanning the defence forces, public sector banks, and allied administrative bodies. Employment aspirants across the country now have a refreshed set of opportunities to apply for, with deadlines varying across posts.

Among the most prominent announcements was the release of a fresh notification by the Ministry of Defence, opening positions for various technical and non-technical roles within the Armed Forces and paramilitary wings. These vacancies span entries through both the National Defence Academy and direct recruitment channels, targeting candidates in the age group of sixteen to twenty-five years depending on the specific post and educational qualification required.

Simultaneously, the State Bank of India and a few other public sector lenders floated recruitment drives for the post of Junior Associates and clerical staff. The bank recruitment process typically involves a preliminary examination followed by a mains test and a descriptive paper, with candidates required to hold a graduation degree from a recognised university. Official notifications have been published on the respective banking institution websites, and online application portals remain open for eligible candidates.

In addition to these major openings, results were also declared for previously conducted examinations under three separate government recruitment campaigns. Candidates who had appeared for written tests held in December 2024 and early January 2025 can now check their scorecards on the official commission portals. The results cover recruitments for group C and group D posts across various ministries.

Career counsellors advise aspirants to carefully verify the eligibility criteria before applying, particularly regarding age relaxation categories and subject-specific requirements for technical posts. Documents such as caste certificates, disability proof, and educational mark sheets must be ready in scanned format before filling out the online application form. Late fee concessions are usually available for reserved category candidates, and applicants are encouraged to apply at least a few days before the final deadline to avoid last-minute server congestion.
