The Commission for the State Board of Consolidated Recruitment (CSBC), Bihar, has officially notified the revised written examination dates for the recruitment of Lady Constables in the Bihar State Police. The notification, issued by the commission's headquarters in Patna, states that candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary screening and submitted their applications will be required to appear for the computer-based or pen-mode written test at centres set up across multiple districts in the state.
The written exam serves as the primary screening stage for female candidates applying for the constaber force. Only those who qualify in this stage will proceed to the subsequent phases of the selection process, which typically include physical efficiency tests, medical examinations, and document verification. The commission has asked all shortlisted candidates to carry their original admit cards and identity proofs to the examination venues on the scheduled dates.
According to sources close to the recruitment process, approximately several thousand vacancies are being filled under this notification for the Lady Constable position. The exact number of seats was disclosed in the original recruitment advertisement published by CSBC earlier this year. Candidates from across Bihar are eligible to apply provided they meet the educational qualifications — generally intermediate or an equivalent degree from a recognised board — and the prescribed age limits.
The commission has directed that the examination will be conducted in a transparent and fair manner, with strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the Bihar government. Invigilation teams and security personnel have been deployed at all examination centres to prevent malpractice. A separate helpline and grievance redressal mechanism has also been made available for candidates facing issues related to admit cards, exam centres, or scheduling.
Earlier this year, CSBC had released a comprehensive recruitment notification for various police posts, including Constable (General), Head Constable, and Lady Constable. The written exam dates were initially announced but later revised following requests from aspirants seeking rescheduling due to logistical concerns. The finalised dates have since been published on the official CSBC Bihar website, and candidates are advised to regularly check the portal for any further updates or circulars before the examination day.
