The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has begun accepting online applications for a total of 935 Assistant Executive Engineer (AEDO) positions across various departments of the state government. The notification was released earlier this month, and the application window is now open for eligible candidates who wish to secure a government job in Bihar.
Candidates seeking to apply must visit the official BPSC portal at bpsc.bihar.gov.in and complete the registration process. The commission has stated that applications will be accepted until the notified last date, after which no further requests will be entertained. Prospective applicants are advised to complete their form submission well ahead of the deadline to avoid last-minute server congestion.
As per the official notification, the minimum educational qualification required for most AEDO posts is a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Certain departmental postings may specify additional subject-wise preferences, so candidates are urged to carefully read the detailed advertisement before applying. Work experience, if mentioned for particular vacancies, will also be considered during the shortlisting phase.
The selection process for BPSC AEDO 2025 will follow the commission's standard examination route. Eligible candidates will first appear for the BPSC Combined Competitive Examination or a department-specific written test, followed by a personality test or interview, depending on the post and department. Final merit lists will be prepared on the basis of combined written and viva scores.
Regarding pay and allowances, selected candidates will be placed in Level 10 of the Bihar Government Pay Matrix, which translates to a basic monthly pay ranging approximately between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400, depending on the incremental stage. Additional benefits include dearness allowance, house rent allowance, medical benefits, and other state government perks applicable to engineering-level officers.
BPSC has repeatedly emphasized that all communications regarding the recruitment, including admit cards, result declarations, and document verification schedules, will be published exclusively on its official website. Candidates are warned against relying on third-party websites or social media handles claiming to offer early admissions or special entry, as these are not authorized by the commission.
