The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is preparing to shut the online application window for the Bihar Police Constable and Sipahi recruitment drive, which offers more than 19,000 positions across the state. Officials have warned that candidates who have not yet applied should do so immediately, as the deadline is fast approaching.
The recruitment notification was released earlier this year, inviting applications from eligible candidates across Bihar and other parts of India. The Constable/Sipahi posts fall under the Bihar Police Department and are among the most sought-after government jobs in the state due to their job security, pension benefits, and respectable pay scale.
According to the official notification, candidates must possess at least a graduation degree from a recognized university to be eligible. The age limit for general category applicants stands at 21 to 25 years, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms. The selection process is expected to include a written examination, physical efficiency test, document verification, and a medical examination.
The recruitment drive covers multiple districts and police circles throughout Bihar, offering candidates an opportunity to serve in their home districts or nearby regions. The commission has stated that the final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in the written test and physical tests.
Applicants are advised to carefully fill in all details on the BPSC portal, upload the required documents in the specified format, and retain a copy of the submitted application for future reference. Any error in personal details or document submission may lead to disqualification.
The Bihar government has emphasized that this massive recruitment push is part of its broader effort to strengthen law enforcement and policing infrastructure across the state.
