The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (CSBC) has officially notified a massive recruitment drive for 8,415 constable posts within the Bihar Police department. The online application process is set to commence tomorrow, offering millions of eligible candidates across the state an opportunity to join one of India’s largest state police forces.
According to the commission’s notification, the recruitment will fill vacancies that have remained empty due to retirements, promotions, and expanded policing requirements across various districts of Bihar. Candidates who have already registered their interest are advised to complete their applications promptly before the deadline.
The selection process will follow a multi-tier structure that typically includes a written examination, physical efficiency test, and document verification. Aspirants must meet the educational qualification of passing Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The age limit generally ranges between 18 and 25 years, with relaxations applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
The application fee structure varies by category, with general category candidates paying a higher amount compared to those belonging to reserved sections. Successful candidates will be appointed as constables in the Bihar Police and will undergo basic training at designated police academies before being posted across the state.
This recruitment represents one of the largest single-year hiring exercises for Bihar Police in recent history. Officials say the expanded strength will help improve law and order management, especially in rural areas where police presence has been historically thin. Candidates are encouraged to visit the official CSBC website for complete details regarding application procedures, exam dates, and important instructions.
