The Bihar Rajya Bhandar evam Logistics Prabandhan Samiti, commonly referred to as BRBLPS, has floated a major recruitment notification for over 3,400 vacant positions across various departments of Bihar's food and public distribution system. The recruitment covers roles such as Office Assistant, Cashier, Data Entry Operator, Store Keeper, Helper and several other supporting staff categories, making it one of the largest state-level hiring drives of its kind.
According to the official notification, the total number of available posts stands at 3,409. These positions are spread across districts and regional offices throughout Bihar, reflecting the department's need to strengthen its administrative and logistical backbone. The Food and Civil Supplies Department of Bihar manages the state's public distribution network, which serves millions of families under the National Food Security Act, and the new hires will play a direct role in ensuring smooth operations.
Eligibility criteria vary by post. Candidates applying for clerical and assistant-level positions are generally expected to have passed at least the 12th standard from a recognized board, while some posts may require graduation or specific computer proficiency. Age relaxation provisions applicable to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other reserved categories under Bihar government rules will apply. The upper age limit for general category candidates was set at 40 years as per the recruitment rules notified at the time.
The application process was carried out entirely online through the official BRBLPS portal. Interested candidates were required to register on the website, fill in their personal and academic details, upload the necessary documents and pay the prescribed application fee. A nominal processing fee was charged from general category applicants, while candidates belonging to reserved categories were exempted from payment. The deadline for submission was communicated well in advance, and the authorities urged candidates to apply before the cut-off date.
Selection for the recruited posts will be made based on merit as determined by the written examination and document verification processes conducted by the recruitment board. Shortlisted candidates will receive call letters for the examination phase, and final appointment letters will be issued only after successful clearing of all stages and verification of credentials.
This recruitment drive comes at a time when the Bihar government has been actively filling vacancies across multiple departments to improve governance and service delivery. For thousands of job seekers in the state, particularly those with intermediate or graduation qualifications, the announcement represents a significant opportunity to enter government employment.
